Opis (eng)

The thrombosis is a kinetic process with numerous factors: blood vessels, hemodynamic factors, cellular and chemical blood components. The genetic, thrombogenic, and external factors are important in the pathogenesis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), while the thrombus gets formed due to the disbalance of procoagulant, anticoagulant and fibrinolitic systems. The influence of the predisposing climatic elements varies geographically. Almost a half of the patients with DVT possesses one or more risk factors, while the positive correlation between the incidence of DVT and the number of risk factors is evident. That is why it is very important to be familiar with the connection of the climatic and thrombogenic risk factors, because that would further elaborate the pathogenesis of the lower extermity DVT. This research’s aims were to investigate the following problems in the group of patients with lower extermity DVT: the connection of the seasons with the incidence and location of the thrombus; the connection of the temperature and atmospheric pressure variation with the incidence and location of the thrombus; the connection of the seasons and risk factors with the incidence and location of the thrombus; the importance of the connection of the temperature and atmospheric pressure variations and risk factors, with the incidence and location of the thrombus; the existence of the lower limb DVT circadian rhythm. The study included 153 patients with a diagnosed lower extermity DTV, which were being treated in the Vascular Surgery Clinic in Clinical Centre of Niš, Serbia, starting from January 2013, until December 2014. The connection between the climatic factors and heart failure, obesity, diabetes mellitus, malignacy and lower extermity varicose veins, was analyzed. The lower limb DTV circadian rhythm was defined in respect to the time of the first DTV symptom appearance. The investigation has confirmed a correlation between the chronobiological, climatic and thrombogenic factors and the patients’ demographic characteristics in the pathogenesis of the lower extermity DVT. Being familiar with the correlation of the climatic and thrombogenic risk factors gives additional clarification for the process of DVT pathogenesis, provides the possibility of preventing DVT more efficiently, as well as the possibility of having a better organized health service, due to being able to predict the year’s critical periods of the increase of the DVT occurence probability.
