Uticaj individualnih i profesionalnih faktora na radnu sposobnost nakon povrede na radu
Work injuries have significant medical and economic consequences.The aim of the dissertation is to examine the influence of individualand professional factors on the temporary and permanent ability towork after a work injury. The exposed group consisted of 517workers who had at least one work injury, and the control groupconsisted of 418 workers without injury. The length of temporaryabsence from work depends on the type and severity of the injury, themethod of treatment, professional factors (severity of work, workexperience, level of professional stress, training for safe work,overtime work, night work, type of work, supplementary work,clearly highlighted rules of safe work, shift work, standardized work,non-physiological position, satisfaction with pay, application ofpersonal protective equipment, work difficulty, microclimaticdiscomfort, noise level, lighting, vibrations, chemical agents, dust,participation in traffic) and individual factors (female, education,marital status, place of residence, comorbidity, reaction time toacoustic and visual stimuli, cigarette smoking). Professional factorsthat affect the permanent working ability are work difficulty, total andexposed work experience, stress level at work, training for safe work,overtime work, night work, type of work, additional work, rules ofsafe work, work in shifts and norms, chemical agents and dust,participation in traffic. Individual factors (consumption of drugs thatact on psychological and motor functions, previous injuries, thepresence of undefined pain and symptoms, surgical interventions,endocrine diseases, neurological diseases, arterial hypertension,diabetes, hematopoietic system disturbances, gastrointestinal and lungdiseases, asthma, osteoporosis, musculoskeletal and kidney diseases,dyslipidemia, hearing impairment, increased body mass index, eyediseases, psychiatric disorders, cardiovascular diseases, prolongedreaction time to acoustic and visual stimuli) affect the retirement ofthe injured worker and the change of workplace. Prevention measuresand risk groups of workers to which they should be specially directedare defined.
